"Very disappointing and stressful experience. We prepaid $696 for this reservation through Expedia for a group of 12 people. The original check-in time listed on our reservation was from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Later, the property changed the check-in window to 6:30 pm. Before the check-in window ended, I contacted the property to explain that we might arrive slightly later. They instructed me to complete the online check-in process, which required extensive personal information, including a photo of my credit card and a $2,500 security deposit. While I was on the phone with Expedia trying to resolve the situation, my family was already at the property waiting to check in. I even requested a name change through Expedia so my uncle could complete the check-in. Despite all of this, the property refused to cooperate and ultimately canceled our reservation claiming we did not arrive on time. We were never given an access code or instructions to enter the property. As a result, our entire family had to find another place to stay that same night, which was extremely stressful for our group. It is very concerning that a fully prepaid reservation was canceled even though we contacted the property before the check-in deadline and were actively following their check-in process. This experience felt very unfair and poorly handled. Future guests should be aware of the strict policies and lack of flexibility we experienced."
