"Room 217 was nicer than I anticipated. I loved all the decor and attention to detail. The bathroom was large and very pretty. Our room had a balcony, and an above-the-treetops view of the lighthouse. The location is perfect, especially if you are visiting the lighthouse. The walk by the shore to the pier is beautiful, especially at sunrise. If you like historical fiction, I would especially recommend Eugenia Price’s Lighthouse series. She incorporated much of the history and setting of St. Simons into her books."

"The hotel is decent, but a little outdated. Shower pressure is so low that wife couldn't get the shampoo out of her hair. Breakfast was decent, but missing bagels. Pancakes were rubbery, but not too bad and waffles were good. Lobby has a very distinct, overwhelming smell that you can even smell outside when the doors are open."
