Quaint little motel 5 mins from Whiteface mountain. Very friendly and responsive staff. Room was clean, warm, quiet, and very affordable. Perfect place to stay while skiing or mountain biking in the area.
Nothing was ever mentioned about this property being renovated. This property charges average rates for the area. It is February after a snowstorm, and there are no blankets on the bed. You are expected to sleep with the sheet and the comforter that covers the bed completely filthy. Do you think they wash the bed comforter after every guest leaves, the dust don’t get me started on the dust. The bathroom broken cracked missing the safety bar. I have a handicapped husband. The room was only heated by an electric fire box place in adequate to say the least cold and uncomfortable we needed to sleep in our clothes I want a full refund .
Stay was for just one night. Code provided via email to unlock door was incorrect. Thanked goodness the room was unlocked when we arrived. Small, cozy room. Most things were fine but need to call out two things. Bed was caving in the middle so that wasn’t ideal. The bathroom is tight with the toilet really close to the wall. Some folks may have challenges due to the limited space.

February trip
Good except there was a mouse that was trying to get into my bag at night went over and saw it with a flashlight. Otherwise it seemed cozy
The owner Benjamin was very good in responding to my concerns. This is a good place for the price, and when they get the kinks worked out, it will be even better. Don’t expect a strong flow of water in the shower. First room was ridiculous, so they moved me to another room where it was ok. Like I said, it’s a work in progress and they seem to be working hard getting the place sorted out. One thing that does stand out is that it is still owned by a Veteran. I believe in supporting our Vets as much as possible, so I will be staying there whenever I’m up in the Lake Placid/Jay area.
