I booked a one-night stay at Baymont by Wyndham Wilmington through Expedia while in town for a concert, and the experience was appalling. I received a check-in reminder confirming my reservation, but when I arrived, I was told my room had been canceled, even though I never canceled it. There was no email, no phone call, no notice of any kind.
What made the situation worse was the staff’s complete lack of care or concern. They showed no empathy, made no effort to help, and left me with no place to stay for the night. I was essentially told “too bad” and dismissed.
This kind of treatment is unacceptable. I strongly advise against booking here, your reservation could be canceled without reason or warning, and you’ll be left on your own without so much as an apology.
