"This is one of our favorite half-way stops on our way down to Cape Town. Wildernis is a quant little town with world-class restaurants and The Wildernis Hotel is such a great place to stay. Lovely pool, padel, tennis and mini-golf facilities. Excellent breakfasts! And very, very friendly staff."

"We only stopped by for a night on our road trip from Cape Town to PE. It's truly a hidden gem. We stayed in Milkwood cottage, which was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Tim welcomed us and showed us around, making sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast by the river was superb and they also have boats that you can take out for a little row in the river. We really wish we could stay there longer. "

Bar Restaurant sold excellent bottle of wine at give-away price. Our included breakfast had massive choice. We had the full cooked farmhouse, and then I also had the fruit and yogurt etc because it looked delicious. Hotel easy to find (well sign-posted). Highly recommended.
