"I stayed for one night on business. I was looking for somewhere just off the A38 and this was perfect. I was upgraded to a lovely huge room with views over the valley. Staff were incredibly warm and helpful. My meal was excellent in fact one of the best I’ve had in a while. The grounds are stunning. I wish I’d had my binoculars as the huge tree next to my room was alive with birds. I’d definitely return. "

Minor gripes - an overly complicated towel heater which proved imposible to turn off and heated the entire room, a slightly too heavy duvet (but what can you forecast about early March?) and slightly undercooked poached eggs, which led to an unsolicited discount. Very convenient for where I needed to be. "
