"Agree entirely with a previous review. Not an hotel, just a B&B with bar and a very limited menu. The proprietess wanted to talk at us. The son, considerably older than 21, came up to us in the bar and said his mother would be with us soon to serve us drinks. Clearly he was not authorized to. Why? So we waited another 5 --10 mins for her to appear. No hot water in room - neither shower nor wash basin. "The staff are amazing. Parking is free on the road beside the pub. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Nice pub with great locals. Ideally placed for HMS Raleigh functions. "

"I am sure some years ago this was a 4 star property now it’s 2.5. Older rooms poor AC carpets like an old pub. Yeah it was ok at best, but for 200+ a night …. I was glad I booked only 1 night."

"We had a lovely stay at China Fleet Club. The staff were professional, friendly, and always happy to help. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well presented. Unfortunately, we had no hot water when we arrived, but after reporting the issue it was fixed within about an hour, which we appreciated. I also had a massage during our stay, and Emma was wonderful – very professional and made the experience incredibly relaxing. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and we would happily return."
