This is an excellent B&B. Maria and Guy welcoming warm and attentive hosts. Gorgeous property. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast is above and beyond. It is a 3 to 4 km walk to the main restaurant area but it is along the beach front pathway and easy to do., We would definitely return.

I travelled with my teenage daughter. The B n B was safe, tidy, homely, close to the beach and the layout and amenities were awesome. The breakfast was healthy, fresh, good variety and the dining room was welcoming. Maria has exceptional customer service, she’s always on hand for everything you need. If you want a home from home with a caring hostess I can’t recommend Parkland place highly enough.

Needing a last-minute overnight stay, we booked this property and honestly weren't expecting much. However, from the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the pristine condition and how well cared for everything was. Our host, Marie, is an absolute gem – her hospitality was outstanding, and we especially enjoyed her delicious homemade breakfast. The room itself was incredibly cozy and tidy, with thoughtful details that truly elevated our stay to a four-star feel. Without a doubt, we recommend this property. Great Auckland Anniversary Day Break

Reviews we read beforehand were accurate. Maria, the owner ,was the a real character and most certainly " the boss". Located a little off the township in a very quiet road near the beach it offered so much. Great breakfast. Nice little touches . Nearby kitchen with a small honesty box bar with tea and coffee facilities. A lovely place to stay and recharge your batteries!

Exceptional, a home from home.

This is a gem of a b&b. Maria, the owner, went out of her way to make us extremely welcome and well looked after; it felt like a home from home. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a wide range of amenities and there were places inside and outside to relax. The breakfasts were also outstanding and Maria even invited our two local friends to join us one morning. The property is very quiet and in a pretty setting, being only a short stroll to a local beach and a short drive to Whitianga town centre and marina. It will be our first choice if we return to the area again.

Our stay at Parkland Place was great from beginning to end. Maria greeted us cordially when we arrived and provided a brief orientation. We had a comfortable bedroom, bed, pillows and well appointed private bath. The breakfasts were top notch. Fresh fruits, juices, multiple choices on bread for toast, eggs, cold meats and cheese, cereals, coffee or tea to your preference. Both Maria and Guy were readily available for questions or ideas about what to do in the area. Quiet, clean and classy home. We can’t say enough about how positive our experience was. Highly recommend.

Wonderful hosts! Everything was great. Bed was very comfortable. Room was large (room 1), very clean and had everything we needed. Maria was very attentive and made us feel at home. Very nice breakfast with several choices available. You need a car to get to the main restaurants in town, boat trips etc, but the beach was only a few minutes walk away. Or you can kayak to the beach along the small river at the bottom of the garden (we didn’t, but other guests did).
