"Nice room but modular. Couldn't find coffee facilities as the were on a shelf in wardrobe which was odd. There was coffee machine but you had to take it out of the wardrobe to fill it which was awkward. Breakfast was nice enough and relaxed self serve. The bar food was average. Strange burger bun that was pink hard. Couldn't have breakfast last morning but they made me a pack up for my train which was nice of them. Bed comfortable but pillows a bit flat. Overall a pleasant stay."

"We stayed 2 nights and paid £114 per night for bed and breakfast in a Heritage room called Irvine. The soundproofing in the room was shocking with a loud humming noise coming from behind our bed and the noise of doors slamming and guests talking. When I reported this to receptionist she acknowledged that the humming noise was from the room next door’s plumbing. I was not offered a different room. We were visited by both a spider and cockroach in the bathroom. I would therefore strongly recommend not to stay in the room called Irvine. The breakfast was OK. The croissants and muffins were fresh but when they were gone they were gone. My advice is to go for breakfast early. The porridge from the menu was very good and I would recommend it. IMO the property needs a lot of money spent on renovation and as an example the windows need replacing throughout the property. IMO most of the younger staff need extra training to help them understand better customer service. Overall our stay was a below average experience for a 4 star hotel, but reasonable value for money."

"The guy at check in was lovely - so helpful and friendly. Room was spacious, clean and well soundproofed. Bed super comfy. My only plea would be to have some signage (like some other hotels have in place) from airport but once we eventually found it hotel was great 👍 "

"The hotel was in a fantastic location and most of the staff were helpful and fairly friendly. The toilets are not easily accessible for guests with mobility problems and the vegan meal was dreadful."

"Lovely quiet, clean room. Staff incredibly helpful and efficient. Breakfast, as always, was excellent. Their onsite parking is rather expensive though. However, cannot fault hotel."
