We had an executive studio. Room very good size however as it was on the road side of the property the traffic noise was loud and made sleep difficult. The deck in front of room also open for all to use and walk passed and again had lots of noise from fellow guests.

Basic accomodation but good value, close to town, comfortable and clean. I had breakfast and dinner in Settlers restaurant and it was very good. Wayne the manager is a gentleman and very helpful. No complaints, I would stay here again.

I always enjoy Settlers even though it has been in Whangarei for many years. The rooms are still comfortable but road noise can be loud but dies down at night. Food and service was good and I enjoyed dinners in my room. I would certainly stay here again.

The Settler’s Discovery Motel was a fantastic stay. The room was great, wonderful service with friendly staff, and great food. It was also a short walk to the Whangārei waterfront, and all the fabulous restaurants and cafes. I highly recommend this motel, and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Convenient and comfortable

A great option in Whangarei as it is not in the centre of town although it's very close to the Town Basin. Surrounded by lots of lawn and trees. Great service and a reasonable restaurant. Comfortable room and a good shower.
