"Location was good and grounds are spacious to sit out and wander about on a dry day. Building and room in need of some TLC. My room had a burnt iron mark on floor, telephone had no line, staff said they were updating lines. Kettle leaked when it boiled. Side table lamp didn’t work. Dirty marks on bathroom door, bath in need of a good scrub. Had no hot showers during my 2 night stay. I called from my mobile, spoke to a gentleman asking to check it in the morning. "The stay was fabulous, very close to Keswick town centre with a park opposite for the dog. The staff were lovely and provided a great breakfast and couldn’t do more for you. The room is lovely and warm. Our dog was able to stay and come down for breakfast which made the experience so much better. "

"The hotel is in a lovely place facing the sea with areas to walk. A few minutes walk from the railway museum and train rides to a beautiful area. The only thing I was unhappy with was that not all the staff worked as a team at meal times. The rooms, facilities and amenities were all lovely. Staff were approachable."

"We stayed at Old Posting Inn for 2 nights as wanted to explore the lake District area. We wanted a quiet, quaint village as our base, and the Inn was perfect for our needs. The dinner was excellent and the hosts were lovely. The location itself is15 mins from Cockermouth town centre, 30-40 mins from Kewsick, and 45 mins from Buttermere. All in all, it was a perfect holiday for us, and we will come again!"
