Very Cute Duck!

Its a renovated Motel at the far end of town thats maybe 4 or 3 blocks from main street. The pictures are exactly as it is with neat touches like an airbnb. Its very comfortable. Sweet place.

Our stay at the Lazy Duck was comfortable with easy access to Yellowstone park. Plenty of dining options close by. The only drawback was there is no AC although you don't need it at night and you should not be spending much time there during the day so it was fine with just a fan. We would stay there again.

SO expensive for what you get, 90 a night for a cleaning fee, small rooms. They were clean and cute and an easy mile walk to the main shopping and dining areas. Area around hotel was very dark at night and run down but did not encounter any safety issues. Minutes drive to the west entrance of park! No staff on site but they were relatively responsive via text if needed. We only stayed two nights but for longer stays, would want a clean and fresh supplies. At 350 a night, would maybe stay again since all hotels and motels in the area charge very high fees due to the proximity to the park. Cute updated style motel over all. Had all the supplies needed, bottle water for one night, wine and coffee glasses, coffee and plasticware and plates.

Clean. Quiet. Comfy. We booked our stay for a last minute trip at the Lazy Duck and were not disappointed! A great spot as a base camp for Yellowstone National Park. I had low expectations for this motel but it is actually very nice and comfortable. Note: they say that breakfast is included, it’s not. Had a great stay at the Lazy Duck. It’s a little on the outskirts of town, but the town is so small it didn’t matter, we still walked to diner one night. It was quiet and comfortable. We stayed Labor Day weekend and no AC was no problem we just opened the windows at night. We enjoyed the breakfast voucher but only used it once since most days we left for Yellowstone early. We liked the seating and picnic tables outside. We liked not having to “check in” and just getting sent a door code. We would stay here again.

The room is clean but needs airing. My nose is extra sensitive and I can smell a strong scent/odour that I can’t describe. However, when I opened the door for 15 minutes, it became tolerable (could be a problem in the winter). The room is neat and tidy and the towels are fairly new. I like that there’s a microwave and fridge and a huge tv (although I don’t really like to watch tv). The walls are somehow thin and you can hear the conversation from the next room, and they were talking until past midnight. There is not enough parking for everyone but you can park at the side street for free. There’s no front desk, however they will answer your call right away if you need help. It’s not also that far from restaurants and shop, it’s about 5-7 minute drive. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied considering the cheaper prize that I paid compared to the other hotels that you can find in the area. I will surely come back to stay whenever I’m in Yellowstone. I would give it a 4.5 if there is that option.
