"The rooms were small but perfectly adequate. The rooms were not air conditioned and as we were there on one of the hottest weekends of the year the room was very hot overnight. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay."

"I don’t know how this hotel isn’t a health and safety violation in itself. Don’t get me wrong, for £50 a night I wasn’t expecting luxury, but the condition of the place was shocking. There were four separate groups of us staying there, and every single room had a large patch of mould growing above the headboard, which was quite horrifying. The taps and sinks were barely attached, our bathtub had a hole in it, and the guests next door had their door constantly open, with a strong smell of weed...

"Short visit whilst visiting Sheffield. Good location, easy to access motorways. Check in quick and friendly, got an early check in as I had contacted to request in advance. Room lovely and clean with tea/coffee and a large TV plus WiFi with no charge. Reception staff very nice and couldn't help enough. Would return if in the area again."

"We loved our stay at this gem of a BnB. The massive bed and the hearty breakfast gave us the energy to explore the area and made any jet lag a non-issue. Sue and Gary are wonderful hosts and provide as little or as much interaction as you want and were very helpful with ideas for locale, especially dinner. Sawby is a cute English town and the locals were very friendly when we went for walks."

"I keep telling myself it’s cheap and cheerful, and it is to some degree.. but it has a 4* sign as you drive in, and this just isn’t the case. Rooms are run down and have needed upgrading for years. The swimming pool has been “ under maintenance” on the 3 occasions I have stayed over the years, so I just question whether it is ever open. The carpets needed hoovering in the hallways and our room. It’s a shame because the bar/ kitchen staff seem to work really hard with what they have and are...

"We were very well looked after by Shaan & Sef who must be the one prepared our breakfast which was freshly made and ample every morning . The room was clean and spacious enough for us & our dog Rocky. Tumbleweed is a good place to stay for a few days to visit the local attractions, such as Sherwood Forest, nearby. It is a heaven for dog owners and joggers. I jogged with my dog along the Well Lane & The Avenue every morning and walked my dog on the couple of bridal ways nearby in the evening....

"Fantastic communication from the outset. Easily found and right next door to The Mayflower public house so after a long journey there’s no further travelling to do to get an evening meal. Plenty of parking, very easy check in and an exceptional selection of produce supplied for breakfast next morning. Good heating system, great bed, powerful shower, all in all with all of the other attentions to detail a great stay, very highly recommended."
