"We had a wonderful stay at Spindle Cottage in Bielby. It’s a lovely, traditional cottage full of character, set in a peaceful rural location that’s perfect for switching off and relaxing. Despite the quiet setting, it’s only a short drive to nearby supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, which made it really convenient. The hosts were very friendly and helpful throughout, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. A great choice if you’re looking for a comfortable countryside stay...

"This is a beautiful hotel in all aspects! The breakfast was the nicest hotel I have had in a long while and I travel alot!! Perfectly situated for the coast, we visited Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and whitby; and for York and Harrogate. Would definately stay here again if we find ourselves in that part of the country again!!"

"The breakfasts were terrific with a special each morning or a very good buffet selection. The rooms are pleasantly furnished, each unique in a way that feels both elegant and comfortable. The parking turned out to be an excellent boon in a city not designed for cars. The hosts helped us figure out what to see and where to go. Altogether, a very good stay, so good that we extended for a day"

"Enjoyed the stay but it was noisy trying to get to sleep in the cottage room and I’m curious as to why there were only 9 loungers in the spa but there are 60 bedrooms ? I had to sit on a chair .. not really the spa experience I was looking for. Also another gripe of mine is no full length mirrors in bedrooms ? And no table near a mirror to sit and dry hair and do makeup ? It’s the little things that make all the difference."

"Very cool hotel with lots to do in the congregation area. They had some games, live trivia and a pool table. Nice bar with drink specials. A very modern hotel experience. Would go back and going to another Moxy tomorrow."

"Last minute booking for a cheeky overnight sojourn in York. First time visit, slightly out of the centre, but close to frequent bus service. Traditional hotel, spotlessly clean, with a few creaking bits. Special mention for the excellent receptionist, Jessica. Good value for money and will definitely be back!"

"Good location 15 mins walk to centre along the river. Clean rooms and adaquite kitchen. Free morning pastries was a basket full of plain croissants not alot of choise there. Coffee machine was broke but hot water and coffee available in its place. We just made one in our room. Lovely veiw over the river."
