"The owner and staff are extremely obliging and helpful. They even went the extra mile to run a shopping errand for me when I realised I'd left some key items at my previous hotel. The food is excellent; delicious, authentic and very filling portions. The dining room setting is lovely and they clearly do everything to maintain the property. They even made a packed breakfast+lunch for us because we had a 4.30am departure to hit a mountain route. Room was very good. The only thing I would hope...

"One of the best hotels I have stayed. No A/C but not needed at least in September. Parking is at the back of the hotel. The restaurant has very good dining options (including vegetarian). The town and the views from the room are stunning. Couldn’t recommend more! "

" The hotel is located in small community and very quiet. Very nice rooms. We stayed there to tour The Eagles Nest and it was very close. We arrived a little late and they were great about it and hung around until we arrived. We weren’t real late but they showed great customer service. The breakfast bar was really good as well. I would definitely recommend staying here!"

"This hotel (and town) exceeded all my expectations! Very friendly and helpful staff, the spa area was clean and lovely, and my room was very comfortable and spacious. And the dinner, oh my goodness. I booked halfboard just to have an easy, simple dinner after a long day of hiking. I was served a full meal in a beautiful restaurant, and everything was delicious. I stayed for one night, but it was a shame to leave, I would have enjoyed staying longer and exploring the area further. "

"Explorer Hotel Berchtesgaden exceeded our expectations. The rooms -- with all having an amazing view -- provides a very efficient use of space. "Don’t think twice and just book this hotel. The location is wonderful, views beautiful, staff are lovely, food is incredible. One of the best breakfast buffets we have had. We booked half board and the dinner each night was over the top delicious. Kids loved the pools and enjoyed the kids club. Will return!"
