This hotel was not worth the money we spent to stay at it. The carpet in the rooms were sticky, there were no vents in the bathrooms so they were always damp and all of the linens on the beds felt damp with the air conditioner on. We had other family staying at the hotel as well and they said the pool area was gross, we didn’t even go in there. The breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast.

Staff, breakfast, cleanliness are all great. I’ve stayed multiple times in several different rooms. My only complaint are the mattresses are not comfortable. I have back issues and need a firm mattress and every bed I’ve slept on seems like they are old and broken down.

The room was filthy. The floors were sticky. The mirror was foggy and clearly had not been wiped down. We had a large spider in our room. There were hair balls in the corner of the room. The hot tub had been concreted in, which was not disclosed upon checking in that they no longer had a hot tub. The entire building was very rundown in major need of renovation and updates the hotel staff kept asking unusual and strange questions and making a point to intercept us wherever we were walking in the hotel, which was very strange and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. We also witnessed the hotel staff outside smoking pot.

Staff was courteous and helpful. Unfortunately, there were a some problems that were out of their control that made the stay less than desirable. My room was on the 3rd floor right near the elevator. However, after checking in, I left to come back later that night and found the elevator was broken. That forced us to go all the way to the end of the hallway, walk up the stairs and then all the way back down the hallway to our room. Then when my girlfriend and I tried to use the hot tub, the jets were not working. We had to get dressed and go downstairs to the front desk. He came up to to room and found that most of the jets were locked for some reason. After he unlocked them, they worked slightly...but still not at full power. I expected the hot experience to be much better than it was. The staff did what they could, but it was still a somewhat disappointing visit, especially for a Valentine's Day surprise that I planned for my girlfriend.

The checkout kiosk was a terrible experience after a long day of travel. While it wasn’t the remote agent’s fault, it was hard to hear and took SOOO much longer than if there was a local employee behind a counter per usual. I’m certain someone local to this town would do that job. It makes me think Baymont chooses to save money on US employees rather than provide a good experience to customers.
