The Mayflower is a beautiful Hotel. Historical. If you book there try to get a room that doesn't face the street as I hear it can be noisy.
Luckily I had an inner room so it was nice and quiet.
A/C unit was noisy, so we did turn that on and off.
It is only a couple of blocks from the White House, so convenient for sightseeing.

We had a great stay at the hotel, the only down side was that we wasn’t allowed a late check (as our flight doesn’t leave till 10.50pm) because we had booked Marriott pulse ( HOTELS.COM) I didn’t realise as I booked it in the UK so it was a very long wait to sit around ready to go the airport as checkout was 12pm. It’s an excellent place to stay to see all the sights Washington D.C has to offer. Our room was very comfortable and clean, nothing really wrong to say about the hotel and would definitely recommend anyone to stay her

Overall happy we stayed at the Mayflower. Location was good. Loved the hotel’s rich history. Biggest negative was the noice. The air conditioner was loud and on all the time (unless I manually turned off) and even with the a/c off, there was a humming noise through the window.
