Close to the city center with bus/train stations, banks/ATMs. Turtle beach also very close, we can feed the friendly sea turtles and take photos. Kids friendly beach area. "Lovely location and you can walk straight onto the beach where you can spot giant turtles swimming. Room was spacious with ocean front balcony, bathroom clean but tired. Good breakfast buffet with plenty of options. Great base for visiting Galle as well. Plenty of shops and restaurants outside. Friendly and helpful staff."

"Heel schoon en comfortabel verblijf. Hele goede wifi, en Airconditioning 2 schone zwembaden mooi aangelegde tuin. Op korte loopafstand van de hoofdweg met veel restaurants. Ontbijt beschikbaar en op zich goed.. maar traag gereserveerd en verkeerde volgorde. Eerst Fruit dan na 10 minuten het Ei, dan na 10 minuten de toast en de koffie en fruitsap pas na 40 minuten... "I had a great stay at Royal Beach Hikkaduwa. Room was very clean and staff was very friendly. View from the hotel was just amazing. Just in front of the main surf point and you can watch surfers every evening while enjoying a cold beer. Food at their Lumina beach restaurant and bar was excellent. I had cocktails also. They had live music sessions and they also have 50% cocktails happy hour every day from 05:30 -06:30pm. Nothing beats watching surfers with a cocktail in hand. I’d definitely...

"This was our 2nd stay at the Asian Jewel. Our return was based on our previous experience which was lovely staff, good food, clean and spacious room. The location is out of town but was easy/cheap to get tuk tuks and being situated next to the lagoon allowed us to see lots of beautiful birds from our balcony.
