"Everything about our stay was amazing. The room was beautiful and spacious - very clean and tidy and smelt amazing. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked perfectly. Our hostess was amazing and so friendly. If we are ever up north again we will be booking in again!"

"The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a cabin with its own amenities, but we did scope out the shared kitchen and it was spacious and clean. It is pet friendly, there were other people in campers and RVs who had dogs with them. The owners also had a friendly little fur baby who was one of the highlights of our interactions with them. I recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again."

"The room was lovely. We had a nice view of the ocean. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. The air conditioning worked really well. The hotel is perfectly situated on the water with many local restaurants nearby. It's a nice, quiet place to have a break."

"It was like staying in a cabin in the bush. Quiet, spacious, private and shady with a well equipped kitchen, and a bbq on the balcony. Split level sleeping arrangement and large bathroom. Easy walk to the beach and into town. We’d stay there again. "

"This is such a lovely retreat, all credit to manager Kelly and her family. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and it was much appreciated. The refurbished rooms were nice, clean and warm and the private shower was awesome. We had an awesome time and were lucky to see two kiwi on the grass near the bush even though it was raining, and we heard lots more. It was really magical!"

They host a very high quality continental breakfast with home made bread, eggs cooked to your liking. "Ash Grove was the perfect place for our stay. It is out of the way and rather private. It is not in the middle of Paihia but close enough that we could easily drive in to town to eat and go on our tour of the Bay. Even better, it was just down the road from Haruru Falls, which was spectacular. We loved going on a walk along the river. We felt very much at home in our little cottage.
