"Firstly we were upgraded which was appreciated , but unfortunately the heat pump didn’t work and it was freezing , eventually a heater was found ,but then the shower drain was blocked and the bathroom flooded into the bedroom , however staff were super quick to come and unblock the drain and mop up the mess."

Super nice hosts, easy walk to the historic part of town, good wifi/tv, large, comfortable bed, wonderfully dark and quiet at night, easy parking. Gorgeous communal space - would be super if travelling or meeting with a group."

"The room we stayed in (#3) was featured on their Expedia page and on their website and looked very good as far as motels are concerned, but we're pretty sure the photo was taken many, many years ago because everything in the room was just old and worn. "We had a 2 bedroom / 2 ensuite apartment with 180 degree waterfront and beach views. Loved the sound of the rolling waves on the shore, but sadly a few hoons used the road in front as a drag strip. The apartment furniture was a little dated, but bathrooms and bed were top notch. It was also immaculately clean. Less than a 10 minute walk to the Russell ferry and shops. Superb friendly welcome with advice what to do in the surrounding area and was so accommodating. Quiet season (winter) but...

"This hotel was great, exactly what we needed. The reception staff when checking in and checking out were very helpful and lovely. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was good size portions. The pool looked really nice even in the middle of winter. Would happily stay here again."

"Beautiful spot by the river with river walk and kayaks for hire - we stayed in pet friendly cabin with bunks for 5, fridge and good supply of crockery but lots of other camping options including lovely glam tents with private balconies overlooking the river - cool communal dining area with pizza oven and trays of pizza making - staff very helpful and allowed early check-in"
