Perfect Experience. Staff at reception when we arrived was super nice. She went out of her way to help us with plates and lighter (as we wanted to celebrate my wife's birthday), so was super happy with her. Same for breakfast, we were only 2 people in that hotel for that night (due to off season) but had full menu prepared for breakfast. Which says a lot about the standard this hotel is maintaining. Very welcoming kitchen staff as well. This is definitely our go-to hotel for any future visit to Voss.

Lovely hotel, great location. Only minor complaint is that the room was a bit on the warm side and despite several attempts to change the thermostat we couldn’t get it to cool down. Otherwise happy to recommend

Very nice and comfortable building, but poor and disorganized breakfast. Around the hotel there is almost nothing to do in summer and also restaurants lack. Room services not at the top.

Great place for a summertime stay in the fjordland

I stayed during the summer months, which are beautiful in Myrkdalen. The hotel was lovely, clean, and accommodating, and the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Very Norwegian; they won't fawn over you, but they are attentive, authentic, and helpful to a fault. I don't believe you could reasonably want anything they wouldn't help you find. I will definitely stay again.

Enjoyable stay out of season

We stayed for two nights, before the ski-ing season had begun. There were building works outside on the acces road side but our bedroom faced away from them and looked up the slopes. Our bedroom was very comfortable and warm. Breakfasts were good with a good choice of options and the dinners were excellent. Hotel staff were friendly, approachable and efficient when it came to dealing with our queries. I am not a skier so I cannot comment on what a ski stay might be like, but it was a good base for exploring the region by car.

Hard to complain about surrounds! Pretty area even in non ski. Trouble checking in with key issues but room was good. The food scene was a bit difficult. It was either pizza or tiny menu. And nowhere else to go. In the morning, you compete with bus tours. Good accommodations, they try their best, limited food. Food is a bummer. Zero fruit at breakfast.

A decent off season stay on the slopes

Check in was quick and easy. There is construction and so, it was a bit confusing finding main entrance as the view was blocked by a huge crane. The room was cold and the thermostat useless. Shower design is horrible so water goes under the small piece of glass and under the toilet. By the time you're clean, half the bathroom floor is also soaked. Breakfast buffet was decent. A smart tv would have been nice, as would more towels in the bathroom to soak up all the water.

On the ski slope. Very clean, modern. Good breakfast. Great for access to Flam if driving. We drove to Gudvangen, took the ferry to Flam, did all the Flam stuff, took the shuttle back to Gudvangen, and easily drove back to Myrkdalen in a day.

We don't serve coctails in the summer

"We dont serve coctails in the summer" standing in a well equipped bar have to be a joke? And the breakfast buffet was a big disappointment. Jalapenos on a Diavola pizza also tells the world that we dont really know how to make it but we know it should be spicy.

Way overpriced!!! We expected something special as this was the most expensive hotel (marketed as a "resort" on the booking sites but called "hotel" in reality!) on our 26 day trip through Norway. The room was ok but nothing more. No coffee/tea facilities e.g. and in the lobby the coffee & tea was 40 Nok/cup!!! Also our shampoo and soap bottles were empty and after having complained they were not filled for our 2nd night nor was our room done so we had to complain again. Breakfast : you could not sit where you liked and 2 unfriendly ladies kept walking the aisles watching you. We didn't feel at ease at all! Food was not replenished quickly and after having asked for eggs and being told they would be coming, they eventually came 20 min. later when we had finished our breakfast. The only thing that was good was the view. I think this hotel uses the lack of accommodations in the area to drive up the price and does not offer the service and quality associated with this price tag (approx 250€/night!) We were no satisfied customers!

Flott hotell, god mat og veldig serviceinnstilt personale. Dessverre fungerte ikke klimaanlegget på hotellet, og midt i hetebølgen var det nærmest uutholdelig. Gradestokken på rommet viste 28 grader (innendørs)... Det la en demper på totalopplevelsen/inntrykket.

Godt fornøyd. Lite folk til å være i påsken. Veldig god pizza i restauranten, men litt stive priser der og i baren. Fikk to enkeltsenger som var skjøvet sammen istedenfor queensize bed, men det gikk bra. God frokost. Opphold her kan anbefales.
