"We spent a lovely holiday here and overall the campsite left a very good impression. It’s a large, attractive site that is kept genuinely clean — the sanitary facilities, common areas and grounds were well maintained throughout our stay, which for a place of this size is no small achievement. Where we felt there is room for improvement is the accommodation itself. The mobile homes are of average quality and would benefit from renovation. The balcony doors in ours were falling apart and kept coming off their rails, the sofa inside was visibly worn out, and there weren’t enough sun loungers for the number of guests the unit sleeps. There is also almost no shelving inside, so we had to keep most of our clean clothes in bags for the whole stay — a few simple shelves or a wardrobe would make a big difference. Our one real concern was the medical point and its limited opening hours. During our stay there was a serious accident on site with no doctor present; the ambulance arrived only after a considerable delay. Our own son suffered a fracture and again there was no medical staff available on the campsite. With this many guests, we think a doctor or paramedic should be on call 24 hours a day. That single change would raise the standard of the whole site. Otherwise: clean, tidy, well run and a beautiful location. With updated mobile homes and round-the-clock medical cover, this would be an excellent place to return to."

"Incredible hotel, one of the best I’ve stayed at in all of Europe. Very intelligently designed, rooms are spacious, staff is super helpful, and right on the water. Don’t miss out on the breakfast buffet, and if you have dietary restrictions like me, just ask the staff and they will make sure you leave happy and fat. Don’t hesitate, you won’t regret it."

"My 3rd trip here. It’s always been fabulous and I think always will be. Apparently a bit of a refurb due in Oct 26 but I’m not sure what they’ll be improving as it’s top notch already. Father in law very much enjoyed the free bubbles at breakfast!"

"Although small, the room had everything we needed and had clearly been quite recently renovated with everything looking fresh. The position of the hotel, right on the front, was excellent and Koper itself was small but lively with some good places to explore and eat. The breakfast was particularly good and we ate one night at the restaurant which served excellent pizza in particular."

"The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Luxury Dubai hotel vibes. Everything for the kids- we didn’t manage to do it all. Highly recommended. My daughter is a celiac and they catered to her very well- very friendly and helpful staff and she had a lot of options. Beaches and pools were wonderful. Honestly just brilliant."

"Angelo D'Oro is a wonderful hotel in the heart of Rovinj's beautiful Old Town. Its biggest advantage is the location—nestled among the charming narrow streets and just a short walk from the waterfront, restaurants, and all the main attractions. The rooms are finished to a very high standard, and the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and accommodating, including assisting us with changes to our reservation without any issues. The only minor drawback is that there is no lift to the fourth-floor attic rooms, so be prepared for a few flights of stairs if you're staying at the top of the hotel. Parking is located a little way from the hotel, but the hotel provides a convenient golf cart service to and from the parking area on request, which made the process very easy. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would happily recommend Angelo D'Oro to anyone looking for a characterful, high-quality hotel in the perfect location to explore Rovinj."
