When checking in the people are very nice, they explain absolutely everything you could possibly even think of. The rooms are nice and clean. The pools are great as well.

The resort was under a good bit of construction but we did not know until we arrived unfortunately. The staff was friendly upon check in. The parking garage will not accommodate a large truck so we were told to park at the check in parking lot, we received a call from the front desk at 11:30 waking us up demanding we move the vehicle, very unprofessional and uncourteous. The shower had discoloration and cracking in the shower pan. Balconies sealed off.

I've spoken with the team about the parking the incident and I will take full responsibility for not telling you about parking in our overflow lot when you asked where to park due to the height of your truck. There were small issues with cleanliness but nothing that would deter me from staying here again. Room was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was nice..not well stocked but stocked enough to get the job done. The balconies were undergoing renovations but they seemed super nice. The pool grounds were very nice and made you feel like you weren’t in Virginia but maybe somewhere more tropical like. Easy walking distance to some great restaurants especially a breakfast joint called Sunnyside (you get a discount if stay at Turtle Cay).

This place was so nice for our three night stay. It was clean and offered many amenities. The pool area was well maintained and enjoyable for everyone. The room was spacious with a full kitchen area and large living room area. The staff were pleasant and attentive. I will definitely stay here again!

The grounds rules are handed to you at check-in. Big red letters, no smoking or Marijuana use while on grounds. Open door to our room and strong smell of Marijuana throughout the room. Stayed that way entire weekend. Also, noise of people running down hallways into late hours. Not an enjoyable stay.

They rent rooms to drug addicts!! It’s super outdated and very scary at night. The rooms have mold and are filthy. People were knocking on our doors late to play games in their room. They appeared to be on drugs because it was 2am. Staff and managers seemed to be so unbothered and did nothing to help. They had the worst customer service I have ever seen.

We booked this place for a one night stay because all of the reviews said it was clean and nice. Our first room had a clogged toilet and the beds were completely unmade when we pulled back the covers. They moved us to a new room which was fine, but there were hairs in the sheets. By that point we gave up and went to our event. We got back pretty late to a raging party next door that lasted for hours. Overall, would not recommend. Should have paid the extra $20 to stay at the Hilton across the street.

First off the entire place is under construction. The indoor pool and spa is across the street in their sister location. The laundry facilities was broken down. The beds were literally falling out of the bedframe. The carpets were disgusting we ended up checking out after the first night and we had it booked for five days. Oh, and be prepared to be solicited to listen to their time share spiel because that’s what people want to do on vacation is listen to a 90 minute presentation about their timeshare.

This property was reasonably priced, and I wasn’t expecting much for a one night stay. However, the staff was outstanding, and while the property is a bit dated, it was absolutely perfect for my party of three. We will most definitely be returning to Turtle Cay when we travel to Virginia Beach!

Didn’t like checking in later in the day to find out there was no body wash or shampoo. A lot of other things in the room or covered in dust and dead bugs but other than that not too bad of a day.

Checked into my suite and kitchen had ants all over the counter. Was transferred to another room and the kitchen was dirty, cabinets had dried food, etc. I let the morning staff know because I was too tired once we got in and I just needed to sleep.

The rooms were clean and nice. Not allot of TV selections (No smart TV's) in my room anyway. The adjoining rooms only have one door so each room can hear each ohter really well did not like that much.

The "Resort" is clean. The bathrooms are a bit dated with those big ugly tubs but the living/eating area is great!! Very comfortable.
They need to update their lamps and such to include USB ports for charging. Really no excuse for not keeping technology current; esp. at such a small expense.
I was really disappointed that the balconies were closed!! The locks were removed so you couldn't go out. We arrived at night and didn't know why until the next morning. They are doing repairs on the balconies!! I get it that these things need done and off-season is the best itme to do it BUT I should have been informed BEFORE booking the room (Hotels.com!) I would have ABSOLUTELY chosen a different hotel. Trtle Cay staff said nothing about it when I checked in. NOT happy about that.
