"A beautiful guest house with amazing views over the wheat fields and sheep. The hosts were excellent and always on hand for a chat or advice. Loved the dinner just far too much food but beautifully cooked and would definitely recommend the dinners. Breakfast was equally as good. Lovely pool area for a chill in the afternoon sun."

"The Whale on Main is a beautiful house decorated in a modern style. The balconies had sun lounger or chairs where you could sit and relax. The owner, Tanya was very friendly and was always ready with advice on where to go for activities and recommendations of local restaurants. It was lovely to be able to walk along the cliff path which is just over the road. "

"This was one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. It was scenic, top service, amazing meals and in a great location. The most important part was the staff. They are the most welcoming, kind and considerate staff. I had a bit of a stomach flu and the entire staff was going out of their way to help me. They made me ginger tea and the chef made me chicken soup. It was so nice. I highly recommend this property and Franshhoek as a place to visit. "
