Hôtel La Villa Nice Victor Hugo

"Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice but the water from the shower would flood the floor even if you were careful. The glass wall was too narrow. The door to the bathroom needed to be replaced as the water from the shower had degraded it at the bottom and the doorknob had trouble opening if it was latched. The breakfast buffet was nice. We enjoyed the patio for cocktails. We appreciated the walkable location."

"I recently stayed at the Hotel Mercure Nice Promenade and had a mixed experience. On one hand, the hotel itself is wonderful. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring Nice, and the room was spacious, clean, and modern, providing a very comfortable stay. Unfortunately, our first impression was ruined by a very rude check-in experience with one receptionist. She struggled to find our reservation, eventually finding it under my first name instead of my last name. She then insisted that the room had not been paid for. When I tried to show her my booking confirmation number and payment receipts, she completely dismissed my attempts. Once she finally handed over the keys, she never went over hotel amenities, breakfast hours and location or any other guest services. Aside from this initial encounter, all other hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout the rest of our stay. While the property and the rest of the team are excellent, the frontline customer service during check-in needs serious improvement."

"We arrived post season so it was very reasonable and god value. It out of town a little but there is a train and close to beach. Good breakfast and staff very helpful. Would stay again."
