The receptionist was really helpful and welcoming. There is actually no bar at the hotel, which was a downside for us. Well located with a good restaurant nearby.

A gem

As the Pousada was fully booked, we found this gem of alternative, and we’re glad to have done so. Great welcome, extensive facilities, nice room - we would not hesitate to return here.

Nous avons été tres bien accueillis par Lilianne à la réception qui a répondu à nos questions et reconduit à notre chambre, laquelle était très propre et de grandeur correcte. Pour une personne de grande taille, il est difficile de prendre une douche sans éclabousser le plancher. Stationnement dans la rue mais facile. Le déjeuner était copieux et très bon. On recommande sans hésitation.

Villa vicosa

Fin miljö inne med mkt olika konstverk som var till salu. Närma till restauranger och sevärdheter. Modern Interiör på hotellet. Gratis the med kakor i en lounge. Tyvärr inget kaffe. Bra utbud på t kanaler. Fanns discovery då jag inte är så duktig på portugisiska. Vatten på karaff på rummet. Varmt vatten i duschen och luftvärmepump som gav bra värme. Ljudsystem som spelade både i rummet och badrummet. Bra frukost även om jag saknade bönorna till Bacon och äggröran. Kunde göra egen apelsinjuice i maskin om man ville. Den färdiga som också fanns var sådär. Fanns glutenfria produkter och även laktosfria. Olika regionala ostar var kul att prova på . Fanns även olika korvar från lokala producenter. Flera olika sorters bröd och äntligen lite mörkt bröd. Fanns pannkakor och flera olika sorters flingor och tillbehör till dem. Flera sorters olika kakor och croissanter och sockerkaks liknande produkter. Kaffe i egen stor termos och kaffemaskin för övriga tex cappuccino. Tyvärr ingen hiss till första våningen. Men personalen bar upp och ner våra väskor eller var det att de hade en hiss för enbart väskor. Var skönt att slippa släpa uppför trappan iallafall. Stor innergård med en pool som dock var stängd för säsongen. Var där i december och plus 18 ute så det var inget jag saknade. Wifi var väldigt svajigt och långsamt och man fick logga in flera gånger. Funkade bättre tidigt på morgonen så antagligen kapaciteten var för liten eller för få förstärkare. Okej pris och vänlig personal.

A Very Pretty Hotel in a Quaint Town

Ideaal hotel om eens lekker uit te rusten

Leuk ingericht hotel, een casa senhorial met drie nieuwe vleugels parallel erachter. Zeer vriendelijke personeel, allemaal vrouwelijk. Het hotel is toegankelijk voor rolstoelers, maar die moeten wel sterke armen hebben, want er zit een behoorlijk stijgingspercentage tussen de vleugels en de kamer specifiek voor invaliden zit helemaal achterin. In de buurt zitten nog drie vier- en vijfsterren hotels (Pousada D. João IV, Marmeris en Collégio Velho), dus de prijs zal gelukkig niet echt omhoog gaan, maar echt luxe heb je in dit hotel niet. Je zit op loopafstand van het hertogelijke paleis en het kasteel, beide zeer de moeite van het bezichtigen waard. Verder kun je goed eten in de buurt, ik beveel graag Café Restauração aan. Nadeel van het hotel is dat ze geen eigen parkeerplaats hebben, soms kun je in de straat parkeren, soms moet je uitwijken naar het plein voor het paleis. Hotel wordt bewaakt door een dikke grijze kat, Fifa.
