Everything about our stay was exceptional and truly luxurious. It felt like being in a refined boutique hotel where every detail was thoughtfully curated with impeccable taste. The staff were outstanding—warm, attentive, and made us feel like the most important guests from start to finish. The dining experience was extraordinary, with beautifully curated meals exclusively for guests, adding to the sense of privacy and indulgence. The wine tasting was among the best I’ve ever experienced, with an impressive and memorable selection. If you’re looking for a truly special getaway, I highly recommend this resort. It’s a peaceful haven—almost like stepping into a fairytale.

Our stay at Casa do Rio was exceptional. There are 10 rooms with stunning views of the Douro River and vineyards. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated, and we were welcomed with a plate of fresh figs and white port and all ingredients to make portonics. The grounds are lovely with an infinity pool overlooking the river and two semi private fresh water dunking pools. The food and was outstanding! We made our dinner selections earlier in the day and were treated to an exquisite 3 course meal complete with dessert and wine service. We were served a breakfast buffet every morning with fresh fruit and juices, cured meats and cheeses, an abundant offering of homemade breads, pastries and cake of the day. There were also eggs and meats prepared to order. The staff and service completed our stay. They were genuinely warm and gracious. From Felipe, the manager who greeted us upon our arrival, to the Daniel and Carlos, our food servers for dinner, to all of the other staff who contributed to our amazing experience. Wow!!
