This place was amazing! Hands down one of our favorite stays EVER! Mike and John are the best hosts and literally thought of everything! The room was perfect, the backyard was beautiful and every detail was thought out. We've never felt more at home away from home. We will DEFINITELY be back!

We loved our stay here and were upgraded to a nicer room for a small charge! Mike and John were super welcoming and gave us lots of tips for going around the island. The hotel is super close to everything you need, and we loved access to the pool, kitchen, and gear for enjoying ourselves on the beach. We hope to return sometime!

We had a lovely stay at Casa de Amistad. I’m so glad we decided to stay in Isabella rather than Esperanza. Isabella had way more options for dining and groceries and it was also a lot quieter than Esperanza. During check in we were given a list of recommendations for restaurants and activities which was very helpful. The hotel has beach chairs, coolers, and beach towels available for guest use as well. I would definitely stay here again.

If you’re staying in Vieques this is the place you should stay at; Megan was very wonderful greeting us and providing us with any resources we need. The place is very clean and such a beautiful layout too. Genuinely loved everything about it here!

What a great place! An easy walk from the ferry terminal. Great communication with Mike and John. We truly felt like guests in a guesthouse! So relaxing! Very personal. The opposite of our Hilton in San Juan! Morning coffee on the patio by the pool. Peaceful afternoons. Fun restaurants nearby. We lucked out finding this property! Dreaming of a return visit…the sooner the better!

John and Mike are very friendly and gave us great recommendations. We had a fantastic stay at Casa de Amistad. Loved the common area, backyard, the room, and the rooftop (best for star seeing). One of the best guesthouses I’ve ever stayed. My friends and I already miss it and will definitely go back. Also, the location is really convenient. Only 4 min walk to the ferry station and there are a few great restaurants and a grocery store nearby.

From the moment we walked into Casa de Amistad, we felt welcomed like family. Mike greeted us with a warm smile and took the time to tell us everything we needed to know about Vieques—from the best food spots to must-do activities around the island. His knowledge and hospitality set the tone for an unforgettable stay. They truly thought of everything. We were provided with beach towels, coolers, and chairs, making our beach days so easy and stress-free. Both Mike and John were incredibly attentive, always making sure we had what we needed—from morning coffee to cold water, sodas, and even beer available to us at all times. It honestly felt like we were staying at a friend’s house, not a hotel. The rooms were immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The location was perfect—central to everything and within walking distance to the ferry port, restaurants, and shops. If you’re heading to Vieques, I can’t recommend Casa de Amistad enough. This property is a must stay if coming to Vieques for the first time, or ever. Hosts not only have a beautiful property that is well maintained and tidy always, they both bring a helpful and personal touch while hosting. From greeting you with a beer or coffee upon arrival, they get an idea for your desired trip and mark off a map for you with restaurants, beaches and activities (bio bay, snorkeling etc.) They know the island very well and they know how to treat their guests. Beach towels, coolers and beach chairs for guests was a great perk to have for outings and the pool was wonderful once you got back. Rooms and beds are very comfortable and shower is large and luxurious. I loved the sitting area overlooking the street. Shared kitchen and fridge for that big last meal! My next trip back to Vieques will be contingent on staying here. Thank you again! 12/10

I liked that the room was clean n plenty of hot water. I booked this place because it had great reviews, well maybe they paid a fraction of what I paid. It was was supposed to sleep 4, it was a very small room,we were only 3, the beds were small, full size. The beds had a foam top that felt like a sponge, the sheets n cover had seen better days, very worn, the pillows were hard as rocks.They didn’t have a microwave in the room n the fridge was the smallest fridge I’ve ever seen. We couldn’t even enjoy the pool because it wasn’t heated, in December the sun is not strong enough to heat the pool !!! So we missed out on that. I feel I paid way too much for what I got!

What an absolutely wonderful property with fantastic hosts. You can really tell that Mike and John love what they do and they love to share Vieques with their guests. From the moment you step through the door you feel like you are being welcomed home. Everything from sitting down with you upon arrival and going over the map, to the honor beer fridge and the impromptu concierge service, you know that you are somewhere special. Judging by the devoted community that continues to stay here trip after trip, I would guess most people leave feeling the same way. Leaving this place is never goodbye, only see you next time, because you will be back. Now for the technical details. The room comes with a beach bag and beach towels for your use. There are also plenty of first come, first serve beach chairs and ice chests which we made good use of. The shared spaces are laid out beautifully and include a full functioning and stocked kitchen, a grill, dining areas, the honor beer fridge, and of course the pool. Two seperate courtyards with tropical flora highlight the outdoor spaces. The room was clean and charming, adourned with thoughtfully curated touches of decor. The rooms had the perfect balance of being a comfortable and private landing pad for the evening but not so much to keep you inside on vacation. The shower was hot and refreshing. The neighborhood itself felt very safe and was walkable with good bars, restaurants, groceries, and shopping all within walking distance.

Casa Amistad is a great place to stay in Vieques. I stayed in the facilities for the time of the “Fiestas Patronales”. The facilities and security are the best. From the moment you arrive at the place you feel very welcome. John and Mike are kind apart in their treatment and service and provide you with all the information about the place, places to visit, places to eat and any other information you need. They will promptly take care of any needs that you may have. On site they have a very well-maintained pool and beach equipment (coolers, balls, etc.) that you can use if you go to the beach. The room where I stayed was in excellent condition, very well maintained and very cozy. It has a balcony where you can sit and drink coffee and watch nature. Outside the room there is a terrace where you can sit and spend some quiet time, and there are other indoor and outdoor areas where you can share and eat. The place is within walking distance of the town and the boat terminal. There are places to eat within walking distance. If you rent a car, John and Mike provide you with literature, maps, and directions for the places you want to visit and activities you want to do. In conclusion, I give my best recommendation for Casa Amistad and I will return again. Thank you, John and Mike, for everything.

Casa de Eemahstad thought of everything that we would need anytime that we would ever be in Vieques. The property is gorgeous. Like most places in Puerto Rico, be prepared to hear some critters and roosters. We absolutely loved this, however, if you are sound sensitive, they provide earplugs The owners were extremely nice and immediately made us feel like family. We could not have ever asked for a better location. Ever. Everything was right around our house. A beautiful sea glass beach, amazing restaurants, and good old family Mart. If you are staying on Vieques, it is imperative that you will rent a car, as many of the beaches are spread out through the entire island. John and Mike made our experience on Vieques unforgettable, and if you plan on coming to Vieques soon, there is no better place to stay then Casa de Amistad!
