This is a very unique little hotel sitting directly on the main Vaxholm ferry terminal. The building itself is historic (so, naturally, old) and no-frills, but it was clean, well-kept, and charming, and the staff were very friendly and responsive. I enjoyed sitting on my patio and looking out at the boats. The breakfast buffet had everything one could want. It felt very safe, as well.

Hotel sits right off the dock at Vaxholm where the ferrys come in, so very conveniently located.. stunning views for all rooms having little balconies.. hotel rooms and hallways charmingly laid out to look like you're on a ship.. breakfast is wonderful and restaurant on street level has excellent local menu.. great leap off place for day trips via ferrys to islands such as Grinda and Svartso (Vaxholm itself can be accessed by car, is much more built up and is much less rustic than those two islands).

What a wonderful view of the water. The ferries were right out our hotel door. The hotel was very old but well kept. There were a lot of stairs to get up to our room. I definitely would suggest a balcony.

The hotel was very, very clean and up. Kept for being over 300 years old. I love the building and the surrounding area. Every place in town was easily walkable. Plenty of activities to do water in front for water taxi's. Transportation to surrounding areas very easily accessible and very cheap using water. And buses for transportation.

Rummet var okej men tandbosrtglasen smutsiga. Tv:n funkade inte och ingen fixaden trots att de sagt att de skulle. Personalen i beten var snorkig och otrevlig både mot kunder och kollegor. Frukosten medioker.

Vi är jättenöjda med vår vistelse. Fantastisk god mat och frukostbuffé men saknade kokta ägg. Underbar utsikt i matsalen. Bra rum men sängarna gled isär lite synd. Vi tyckte att tvålen och bodylotion hade för stark doft. När vi träffade familjen så tyckte dom att det doftade för starkt men inte illa. Så gärna byta tvålen till en mera neutral doft.

Gute Lage, schönes Zimmer mit Meerblick und alles sauber. Schöner Frühstücksraum mit Meerblick. Die Zimmerreinigung erfolgte nur auf Aufforderung. Mäßiges Frühstück mit nicht vorhandenem Service. Keinerlei Einführung zum Hotel. Infos zum Aufenthalt gab es nur über den Zettel auf dem Zimmer. Wohlfühlfaktor eher mäßig.

Wc/duchrum är slitna av ålder. Låga äldre wc stol med dragstång. Frukosten med bedrövligt utbud! Trodde frukosten var stängd vid första anblick. Matsalen däremot är uppmålad och ljus. Trevlig personal i restaurang.

Frukosten fick lägsta betyg av hela familjen. Hoppas det var ett tillfälligt grepp att ha färdigbredda mackor, och ett väldigt tomt frukostbuffebord (vi trodde först att frukosten var stängd när vi kom ner). Behövs en verklig uppryckning till turistsäsongen drar igång för vi gillar verkligen Vaxholms hotell!

Sejour idyllique

Hotel très agreable à 50m de l'embarcadère du ferry pour Stockholm. Personnel tres attentionné et disponible, chambre charmante avec vue sur la mer. Salon très cosy où on peut lire un livre dans un fauteuil en observant les ferrys qui arrivent et repartent. Petit-déjeuner delicieux servi au soleil et toujours avec vue sur la mer.

Bemötandet från all personal, oavsett yrkesroll eller uppgift, var genuint fantastisk! Dock var rummet väldigt lyhört och några av grannarna höll oss vakna med skrik i korridorerna samt att de bankade på dörrarna medans de skrek. De var klart och tydligt berusade.
