"Very disappointing and misleading experience This property was extremely disappointing and did not match the photos or description at all. The conditions were poor and felt uninhabitable. The listing is misleading—this is not a hotel or an apartment, but a very small room inside a house, which was not clearly communicated. The check-in process was very poorly managed. We did not receive any email or instructions on how to access the property. Additionally, the address listed on Hotels.com was...

"The most breathtakingly beautiful home. The hosts are so lovely welcoming,they made you feel right at home. Everything has been so well thought about. The attention to detail is second to none throughout the whole property. The place is sparkling and spotless. Absolute pleasure to spend time there, relax and unwind. "Lovely staff, very welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay. Breakfast was fantastic and the bar was excellent too. All of these elements compensated for the dated rooms, which despite being dated were absolutely spotless in terms of cleanliness. This isn’t the first time I’ve stayed and will definitely return."

"Stayed at the Ivy Hill Hotel for a couple of nights visiting family for Christmas. An excellent hotel for a quiet break but within easy reach of London. Staff were fantastic. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast - both very nice. We were given a room upgrade and it was more spacious than our previous visit - very comfortable. Would definitely book again."
