We stayed at Villa Sophia and arrived Friday night. Check-in was prompt and easy, thanks to the security guard who greeted us and helped us get settled in. Overall, the property is very well maintained, and our room was clean and well cared for. The grounds have a nice, relaxing feel, and we appreciated the attention to detail and upkeep throughout the property. There were a couple of things that could be improved. The biggest disappointment was the view from our room. We were expecting beautiful vineyard views based on our previous experiences staying in El Valle, but our view was mostly of an empty lot, with a private residence to the right. This definitely took away from the experience. The beds also need serious improvement. They were small, very firm, and not comfortable at all. You could actually hear the bed coils squeaking every time you moved, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. For the price and overall quality of the property, I expected the beds to be much more comfortable. Overall, Villa Sophia is a beautiful and very well-maintained property, but improving the mattresses and upgrading the rooms with better views would make the experience significantly better. We enjoyed our stay overall and hope these areas can be addressed because the property has a lot of potential.
