"Excellent Family holiday staying at Penina. Relaxing hotel with friendly helpful staff. Warm welcome on arrival with a glass of port and overview of the hotel. Really nice way to start our stay. Great facilities for kids and adults with tennis courts, jogging track, driving range, golf courses, large pool and multiple dining options. "Lovely hotel with 2 great pool areas,gym and small Spa. The in room bathtub was appreciated. Breakfast has plenty to choose From and all staff was very friendly. A plus for the purified water stations around the hotel. An Uber is only 6€ to the city center and is a must to visit. Jardim restaurant close by the hotel is a good,informal restaurant for fresh fish/meat. 2 suggestions for improvement at the hotel. 1)The Beach entrance is very Dark at night, some light/lamp here would be good to avoid...

"Hotel was overall good. Rooms were decently clean. Amenities are great especially the free parking. One downside was that we were in the pool area when a staff member locked the entrance as he saw us sitting there and when we tried leaving, he refused to open the door and told us to walk around the hotel to get back in. Strange behaviour from that guy. The man at the front desk was amazing he gave us many restaurant recommendations and was friendly."

"The beach view was great, but the beach itself was about a 5-minute walk away, and you have to pay extra for the beach chairs. The hotel has very limited parking, so if you arrive later in the day, there’s a good chance you won’t get a spot. If that happens, you may simply be told to “try again tomorrow,” which was very disappointing."

"I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and it is an older hotel but I would say it’s well maintained, the room was clean and comfortable. You can hear your next door neighbours but it gets quiet at night so it didn’t really bother me. It’s few steps away from old town, walkable distance to beaches."

Es ist sehr ruhig und eignet sich gut zum entspannen und zur Erholung. wichtig zu wissen ist, dass es kein Abendbrot oder Mittagessen im Hotel gibt. In der Umgebung wird man aber fußläufig fündig."
