I liked the room, very clean and rooms are quiet, no street noise. My stay ended a day early because no electricity for 15b hours, had to move to another hotel. I don't blame the hotel, but if this is a frequent problem they need to invest in a generator. They didn't reimburse me for the róom for that night stay either.

This hotel is a scam: extremely overpriced for what you actually get, rude staff, food that gives you food poising and management that lies to your face. We paid a premium rate for a “luxury villa” with a private pool, but the reality was a tired, poorly maintained room that did not match the price at all. From the start, the experience was frustrating. The boat transfer was poorly managed, with long delays in the heat and disorganization on arrival. Check-in took over an hour despite very few guests. The biggest issue, however, is the staff. They were consistently rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. Simple requests were met with attitude, and basic hospitality was completely missing. Even small things felt designed to extract more money—like being told you can only have one glass of water at breakfast unless you pay extra for more, or being restricted to one sunbed per room on an almost empty beach. We left early because the experience was so poor. Although the hotel initially agreed in writing to refund the unused nights, they later refused to honor it after we had already checked out. Overall, this is an extremely overpriced property with rude staff and misleading standards. There are far better options in the Cartagena area for a fraction of the price. After traveling 30-40 nights a year the past ten years. This is the worst experience I have ever had. Avoid at all cost!

My husband and I absolutely loved Ananda Boutique Hotel. It is beautiful, charming and cozy. There is a fresh forest smell from the entrance that follows into the bathroom toilettries. The staff was welcoming, extremely respectful and everyone had a smile on their face. After a day of walking in the Walled City, going back to the hotel's pool and jacuzzi were such a relaxing way to end the day. I enjoyed every minute.

We stayed at Hotel Casona del Colegio from July 9–14 and overall had a wonderful stay. This charming boutique hotel is beautifully decorated with lots of character. Our room with a private balcony and hot tub was spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect—within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping, bars, and many attractions. Despite being in the heart of Cartagena, we slept very well. A few issues kept this from being a 5-star stay. I noticed two small roaches in our room and also during our last two days, there was no running water during the day, and for one full night. After spending our days on island tours, we returned hot and sandy but couldn’t shower for hours. We understand things happen, but better communication and some type of accommodation or discount would have been appreciated. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel for its beautiful atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and unbeatable location.
