"The room was clean and fresh on arrival and in perfect order. We had a good night’s sleep with very little noise around. The receptionists were welcoming, polite and efficient. However, a £5 charge for parking was a surprise. If it is in the small print Hotels.com failed to highlight this extra charge which is disappointing. . "

"Really enjoyed this hotel. It’s a beautiful old hotel, nicely kept without being fussy. Big comfortable room, great bath, nice chairs and little touches in the room (hot chocolate sachets and bath robes), nice bar, great restaurant, not over priced and a gym. Everything feels spacious and front of hour staff were excellent. Be aware it’s an elevated so getting to it can be a little trickier than it looks on a map (there’s only one way in and out). "We needed somewhere to stay and this place did the job option for late check out was there which was good and lots of good food options nearby. Staff were helpful and the room was decent and clean toilet and shower was also clean. Id rate it better than most basic big chain hotel brands"
