A slice of old Mexico

Perfect layover and transition from Tuxla airport to San Cristobal. Spent two nights and was very quiet and comfortable.

It was a very nice stay , the room was well maintained and AC unit worked excellent. The garden area is lovely and manicured daily, we enjoyed the restaurant, opens a little after 7 which was perfect for coffee/ juice overlooking the beautiful plant garden. You can tell they care which is why would definately return to this hotel.

Very nice garden! We loved seeing the cats, hummingbirds and squirrel. The room was nice, beds were okay. Personel very helpful. Breakfast and lunch options in the restaurant. Nice bar for an evening drink!

Hotel was nice. Great location, beautiful gardens. Front desk girl is very young and honestly quite useless at her job. Most clients are bothering her and taking her away from her phone

The accommodations and location were great. The only problem was in arranging an airport transfer. I contacted the hotel 6 or 7 times over a period of 6 weeks until I was able to get a response.

The hotel needs a couple of upgrades

It’s a nice hotel with a pool and a beautiful garden. In the restaurant was decent. My concerns, however, were that the shower did not have hot water, lukewarm at best and it took forever for it to get slightly warm. And the hotel room needed to be locked from the inside and out with a key. This felt like a fire hazard of sorts. Also, The room did not have a phone.

Hotel Ceiba is like staying in a tropical resort. The grounds are lush vegetation and beautiful flowers with winding walkways to the rooms at the back of the property. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is clean and relaxing with lounge chairs. The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice bathrooms. Our only concern was that the room only had 3 electrical outlets, including one in the bathroom. The hotel restaurant is open only for breakfast and lunch until 3:00pm daily. Breakfast is a buffet with regional specialties and some western fare. There are a few nearby restaurants. The hotel staff helped us arrange a Sumidero Canyon tour as well as taxis to restaurants and the airport. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
