Tsim Sha Tsui Travel Guide

About Tsim Sha Tsui

An area is southern Kowloon that is famous for its excellent shopping, Tsim Sha Tsui is filled with stand-alone shops, shopping malls and stores full of luxury designer labels. The area is served by two MTR stations; Tsim Sha Tsui and East Tsim Sha Tsui. Tsim Sha Tsui station is on the Tsuen Wan Line, linking Tsim Sha Tsui to Hong Kong Island. East Tsim Sha Tsui station is a stop on the West Rail Line. There is also an extensive network of bus routes that pass through the area, and most services stop at East Tsim Sha Tsui.

Don’t Miss

In Tsim Sha Tsui there are so many places to shop that you can spend at least a week here.

Nathan Road is great for electronics, but be sure to haggle as stores along this busy street are known to overcharge. Even if you are not buying, it is worthwhile walking along this busy street to window shop. Canton Road is where the best designer shops are located and there are more at Harbour City, which is the busiest mall in all of Hong Kong. The One wins for being the tallest mall, with 10 floors lined with shops. There are few budget-friendly shops in Tsim Sha Tsui, but it is an attraction whether you want to shop or not.

Restaurants and Bars

Eating and drinking is just as satisfying in Tsim Sha Tsui, and all shopping malls have a great selection of places to eat. Kimberley Street is the best place to dine on Korean food, while Chungking Mansions offers excellent Indian, Pakistani and Nepalese food. For fine dining, try the luxury hotels or dine at a restaurant on the upper levels at The One. Knutsford Terrace has a great selection of pubs, though no visit to Tsim Sha Tsui is complete without having a drink at the Felix, located on the 28th Floor of The Peninsula.

Shopping

Shopping is what Tsim Sha Tsui is all about as it is home to popular high street stores, shopping malls and stand-alone shops. Park Lane Shopper's Boulevard has less expensive labels like Lacoste, Hush Puppies, and Sketchers, as do K11 and Silvercord shopping malls. If you don’t want to walk outdoors to shop for designer labels, stay indoors at Harbour City.

Bank

There are banks in every mall in Tsim Sha Tsui and all have ATMs. If you are outdoors, there are ATMs along Nathan Road and Canton Road. Nathan Road also has money exchange counters, while a few other exchange facilities can be found on smaller streets throughout the area.
