We loved our stay at 16 Elm. The hotel is really a converted mansion that has been meticulously maintained and decorated. It is absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed spending time in the common areas, sipping coffee in the mornings and relaxing in the living room in the evenings. The town of Trumansburg is just a few steps away, with its lively Main Street and fun restaurants. It is well situated as a base for exploring the area’s outdoor attractions and wineries. Nicole was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again if we return to the finger lakes.

The entire property is gorgeous, immaculate rooms with great decor and design, lovely shared areas, stocked seltzer for guests, and great coffee. Parking was easy and the town is lovely. Will come back!!

A beautiful home where the downstairs public rooms are available for all the guests! Beautiful gardens to relax and enjoy. A very short walk to restaurants and shops. Lots of special touches such as coffee, tea, and snacks available. Within a short drive of many wineries. Very quiet! A different experience from the traditional hotels.

Romantic, luxurious, clean, quiet place. Fabulous bathroom; especially the shower! Good restaurants nearby. EV charger across the street was very handy. Nice spacious common areas with big tables for relaxing, sipping coffee, and working on our laptops. When there was some confusion with our check in, kind and friendly staff responded immediately to help us out.

The restoration of the Inn and the furnishings have been done well. It is very quiet and set back from the street. What is odd is that there was no staff at all onsite and evidence that no one had been there to pick up dirty dishes or restock snacks. We also texted the number we were given about an issue and got no reply.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The room was spacious, peaceful, and very well maintained. We stayed in a room with a king-size bed and a large tub in the middle, which was definitely one of the highlights. The heated floors were also amazing. We tend to be pretty thorough about checking hotel rooms when we travel, including checking the bed with a UV light, and everything was very clean. The bed and sheets were especially clean, and the room overall felt well cared for. The couches did have a few minor stains, but nothing particularly noticeable or concerning. Check-in was very easy. One thing I would mention for anyone who is especially conscious about safety or privacy is the key/check-in setup. Other guests may be able to see which room you are staying in, and the keys are fairly accessible during check-in. Traveling from out of state, this was something we weren’t fully aware of beforehand and would have preferred a little more privacy with. We didn’t have any issues during our stay, but it may be something to keep in mind if that is important to you. Otherwise, the property was extremely quiet and peaceful, and we barely encountered anyone else during our stay. The surrounding town is quaint and charming, although there isn’t a lot immediately accessible nearby, which is understandable given the location. Overall, a very clean, comfortable, and pleasant stay. The tub, heated floors, and peaceful atmosphere were easily our favorite parts.

Beautiful property perfectly located between Watkins Glen and Ithaca. Easy check-in, free onsite parking and wonderful communication. The estate itself is gorgeous, no detail spared, we stayed in the Classic Double/Twin room (2 beds). The space was great and came with a private bathroom within a couple steps of the room. Don't hesitate to book, we can't wait to come back. A true gem.

Beautiful property just off the main street of Trumansburg. We stayed in a split-level "suite" which was perfect (minor inconvenience that the bathroom was downstairs and the bedroom upstairs). The property itself is a beautiful historic building, and is set up in a way that guests can enjoy the ground floor whilst the guest rooms are upstairs. A short walk to some lovely food and drink options on the main street (be aware nearly everything is closed on Monday's). Staff were polite and welcoming when we saw them though it was self check-in so we didn't see them much! Overall highly recommend and would love to come back!

Gorgeous stay!

What a gorgeous stay! My husband and I stayed for one evening as we were exploring the finger lakes area. Self check-in/out went very smoothly. The home was beautifully decorated, intriguing and inviting. We appreciated the historic photos and antiques which were mingled perfectly with modern touches. Our room was lovely, very clean and comfortable with excellent amenities. We enjoyed the short walk to the quaint town for dinner and breakfast. We would definitely return!
