"This property was absolutely perfect for us. We only stayed 1 night, unfortunately! The kitchen was very well equipped & we made use of it by making a meal when we arrived after 7pm. We sat outside to eat as it was a lovely evening. There were some nice touches e.g. chocolate cake (which was delicious), pint of milk, butter, 2 x 1L juices, bottle of wine etc. It was a super cosy, spacious accommodation. "We booked for the secure parking as it was a stop off on our holiday trip, highly recommend if this is important for your trip. Parking and breakfast included in the price of the room too, making the stay a bargain. The 2 ladies serving Breakfast were brilliant and we left feeling very welcomed and positive due to their good spirit and hospitality, thankyou! We also ate in the pub on the evening and food was excellent with good portions. Would definitely stay again "

"Charming hotel, ideally situated by the Abbey. Choice of lounges to sit in the evening, loved the decor. It was drizzling so we couldn’t use the outdoor space. Enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the restaurant and full English breakfast next morning. All staff so friendly and welcoming. Loved the stories of the local area involving pigs, emus and tigers!"

"The hotel lived up to expectations and the buildings were built of the lovely soft Gloucestershire. It was a shame that the outside seating for the bar like being in a car park and close to the road. The staff were friendly and helpful."

"Lovely location, rooms and buildings. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the gardens and park are gorgeous. Welcome and service excellent. We stayed after a visit to Longleat and it was the perfect relaxing stop after a busy day. Only thing that could have made it better would have been if food and drinks were available there in the evening, the cafe closes at 5. We drove to Frome and had an excellent meal in Little Walcot. "
