The Leela Kovalam, a Raviz Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"may have been a good hotel previously but now is rather shambolic . we had to move 3 club rooms within 3 days out of a 6 day stay . the first room we had a terrace that we shared with pigeons, crows and pigeon poo. came back to the room one afternoon to find a crow savaging through the room . the second room was next to an external event space which orevebted us from sleeping the whole night . management agreed to refund 2 nights stay . after 2 weeks we are still waiting for the refund. they found all the readons in the world not to refund the amounts to my card on the departure day. this was a terrible stay . this hotel simply destroyed my vacation "

Hyatt Regency Trivandrum
10/10 Excellent
"This must be the nicest hotel in Trivandrum, because everything was perfect. It’s a beautiful hotel, everything is spotlessly clean and the staff are so attentive. It’s truly a hotel where the pictures match how beautiful the property actually is. We travelled from abroad and loved our stay. "

Hilton Garden Inn Trivandrum
10/10 Excellent
"Perfect location, amazing staff, I was treated like a member of the Royal family. We would definitely recommend this to absolutely everyone.
Thank you so much! :)"

Uday Suites

"Clean wonderful staff"

Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"Bathroom was stinking and sink had cracked. Hard to set water temperature in shower. Staff was not courteous. The elevators were not secured"

Taj Green Cove Resort & Spa Kovalam
8/10 Good
"We have been to this resort several times and always have a wonderful stay. Breakfast is amazing - looking out over the pool to the sea never gets old - and the service and items available at breakfast are fantastic. Reception is good and helpful, the gym is good (if a little too warm) and all staff are very friendly. The only minor gripe is that we always stay in the deluxe suites 402 this time, but the other ones on other ocassions (which are all very comfortable) but none of the fridges in these rooms are cold enough. Our friends stayed in one of the other rooms and their fridge worked properly. "

Niraamaya Surya Samudra

Overall good experience
Couple of noteworthy items
1. Misleading listing
Beach is NOT PRIVATE
2. Shipping Port
The port right next to the hotel with the ongoing construction work (which went on even through the night) is noisy and is a blotch on an otherwise scenic sea view experience"

The Central Residency
8/10 Good
"Clean room courtesy staff "

Hycinth Hotels
8/10 Good
"Overall Impression While the general condition of the hotel is satisfactory and the staff were initially helpful, several serious lapses in hygiene, housekeeping, and data privacy protocols negatively impacted my stay.
1. Food Safety & Hygiene Concerns
During a visit to the downstairs restaurant , I observed approximately 10 to 15 fruit flies resting on the handles of two trays containing sweets.
Staff Response: I immediately brought this to the attention of two staff members on duty. Regrettably, no corrective action was taken, and the staff appeared indifferent to the issue.
Impact: This lack of urgency is highly disappointing and raises significant concerns regarding hygiene and food safety standards.
2. Housekeeping & Amenities
The room supplies provided were insufficient for a double occupancy. The quantity of items remained limited throughout the stay, which was inadequate to accommodate the needs of two guests.
3. Data Privacy & Documentation Policy
Upon check-in, I raised several specific questions regarding the handling of my passport copy, yet the front desk team was unable to provide any information regarding your internal policies.
Retention Plan: What is the hotel’s official policy for retaining guest identification?
Access Control: Who within the organization has access to these copies?
Disposal Protocol: When and how is this sensitive data destroyed?
The fact that front-line staff are unaware of data protection procedures is a matter of serious concern"
