We enjoyed our stay at The Well Hotel on our way to NM! It is not your typical chain hotel and that’s what makes it a special place to stay. They are doing some refurbishing so there are places that don’t look “perfect” right now but it will shine once it’s finished. Taylor was very hospitable and friendly, providing a bit of history of the hotel and area. Rooms were clean and beds comfy!
The room was very clean and the hotel is located in the heart of historic downtown Trinidad. The hotel itself was built in the late 1800s, and while the owners maintained it's historical integrity, they have also added modern, funky touches that make staying here unique.
The hotel has a tap room and restaurant. Each adult guest receives a complimentary beverage after check in. The food was delicious and the tap flowed generously! I look forward to staying here again!
This was an awesome and unique hotel in downtown Trinidad. The owners were welcoming and let me know what to expect leading up to my stay. They were extremely helpful. The hotel was clean, well decorated, had everything that I needed for my stay and more. I will be staying here every time I am here for work and I highly recommend that you do the same :)
I absolutely loved everything about The Well—its rich history, unique style, thoughtful amenities, and warm atmosphere. From the cozy room to the inviting back patio, every detail made my stay special. The staff were so kind and welcoming, the drinks were fantastic, and the location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of Trinidad. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, charm, and fun.
This place is an all-around gem, and I can honestly say it’s the only spot I’ll stay every time I come to visit my daughter in college. Truly a five-star experience!
An eclectic hotel. Rooms are small, but they were creative in providing amenities, like a movable clothes rack in place of a closet, and an in-wall AC/heater that was not very powerful. However, the room did have a refrigerator, a separate room for the toilet, and a large screen TV. Trinidad is not a large city, but most of the attractions are walkable from the hotel, so that is a huge plus. We would definitely stay again when in the area.
The staff were friendly, and room were lean. The hotel also has a cool, funky vibe that was neat to experience. But you can hear nearly everything from the neighoring rooms. When I say everything I mean EVERYTHING. Also, when I went downstairs after checking in there was no one there, despite that the brew pub part of the hotel was scheduled to be open for another hour and a half.
This cozy little hotel was hard to find at first. They would absolutely benefit from some signage. Honestly that’s the worst thing I can say though. It’s like no hotel I have ever stayed in and that made it amazing. It’s like a modern take on an old 1800’s hotel. Very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It was quiet too, although they did provide earplugs next to the bed also. Lights out at a little after 10 and checkout ends at 10 so if you’re arriving later keep that in mind when booking. Will absolutely stay here again.
We were so surprised. We drove past, were a little unsettled at the facade, went in and still unsure. There is some remodelling going on. During check in, we were put at ease. She was so helpful, engaging & friendly. Then she said, we need to go outside and go through the red door! WHAT? Really? As we were walking up, she told us the place was built in 1883,added a little history and that we had her favorite room and why, then showed us in. SO SURPRISED. What character!!!! the TALL ceilings, the fun little refrigerator, the MCM fixtures. We loved the red ceiling and ceiling fan. The only odd thing was if you turned off the light in the sink area, it turned off the fan. The best thing wasthe bed. That was the most comfortable bed we've slept on in many hotel visits. Pure comfort and the best sleep. Thank you so much. When we come through again, we will definietly stay here.

Very cool period hotel in the historic downtown of Trinidad. Rooms funky in a good way, comfortable. Staff very helpful and both food & beer good.
Had a great experience staying at the Well. Loved the historic building and rooms with modern decor and amenities.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Their communication in the time leading up to my stay was above and beyond and greatly appreciated.
The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable.
I definitely plan on going back to stay here again.
This was a nice boutique hotel, based in a nearly 150 year old building. The front desk folks, which also handled my food order, were extremely nice. And the hotel/taproom have a lot of interesting state of the art tech to improve my stay.
We spent one night there. The gyros were very delicious. Enjoyed trying to stump the Dueling Pianos. My only suggestion would be an extra chair and end table. Plus a shade for the window. We will return!
