"Friendly reception staff, pool attendants and shop.
Great location and accommodation. We stayed in the 12 berth and it was really spacious. Would go back again and would highly recommended."
"We had a lovely stay. The views were amazing especially from our bedroom. The food was lovely. Staff so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
2 minor niggles. The diet coke was awful. Sorry to say as was locally produced but was definitely not to my taste or to many others and there was no other sugar free options only tonic which I personally don't like. Secondly the tv was in totally the wrong position. It couldn't be viewed from the bed on one side due to the position on the bed wall and also the hanging light fixtures were in the way. Luckily we didn't need the tv but we had lovely weather so weren't in our room much.
Would definitely return and recommend."
"The Port Gaverne Hotel was overall excellent. The location is incredibly beautiful, and the rooms were large, clean, recently remodeled and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was top rated and delicious. Be sure to park at the hotel entrance for check in and check out as the actual parking lot is far from the reception area."
"I would class this hotel as ‘olde worlde’…..
So anyone wanting modern it probably isn’t for you.
Lots of interesting passages and stairs, and flagstone floors add to the atmosphere.
Shower and bathroom very clean, TV, excellant, tea and coffee available in rooms.
Breakfast ok, I wouldn’t say outstanding.
Rather solid scrambled egg, bacon had obviously been cooked a little while and was tough.
Coffee, brought in a jug was always lukewarm warm by the time I got to it!
Evening menu very restricted., so I only had two dinners out of
four.
The staff were pleasant, but seemed a bit disorganised on occasions.
I wouldn’t stay again, despite it being very easy to access Glorious Trebarwith Strand."
"A really lovely hotel with lots of thoughtful touches. Stylish very comfortable room with generous balcony overlooking the sea (and seat cushions for the balcony chairs). Our room was very well equipped and we welcomed the fresh milk and complimentary water in the fridge.
The staff were friendly and helpful, nice restaurant with good dinner choices and very generous breakfast. Free parking also."
