Very friendly and enthusiastic cleaning ladies. Desk staff always nice-excellent. Have on occasion not gotten perk. I would suggest once an hour a staff member should be starting lap property-to sort towels or rubbish pool on roof etc and work your way down. Appreciate hard to get staff, but line in the sand should be kept. Will be back the sugar shaker of course. Cheers to staff again.

Resist the race to the bottom. TSV been dying long time. Selling water bottle at front desk rather than giving one per stay, more than one biscut packet in a King room, simple examples.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Grand Chancellor. Gian is a remarkable employee who checked us in and helped with taxi bookings, breakfast bookings and all our other needs. Hotel is nice and central and an easy walk to the QCB stadium (the reason we go there in the first place). It needs a bit of TLC, looking old, cracked vanity, loose taps and again, rooftop pool not working- 3rd year in a row. Staff are great especially given what they have to work with. Place is very clean and food good.

The staff member explained the matter in a blunt and arrogant manner, even suggesting that if I was dissatisfied, I could consider staying elsewhere. In addition, there appears to be a flaw in the hotel’s door design, as the noise from closing any room door can be clearly heard across the entire floor.

Middle of Townsville, close to stadium and many different restaurants. Room was well presented, bathroom was modern (renovated). Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would recommend to family and friends. Definitely stay here again. Tha ks
