"Clean room and well situated on the sea front"

"The public rooms were in good condition but rather dated, reflecting the hotel's ostentatious history. The corridors and fire doors to the rooms were in poor condition, some damaged paint, wallpaper and carpet. The room was small and dated but clean with plenty of storage. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast offered a great choice. Whilst it is becoming increasingly common, as a hotel guest, I don't like paying extra to park my car."

"Room was clean and towels smelt amazing. Lovely staff very friendly. Great place to stay the family loved it. Very close to Model village and Bygones. Short Walt to coop or Tesco express. Loved it. "

"The hotel was very good quality for the price staff were very polite and helpful, if you needed anything, the room was adequate for what I needed bed was comfortable got a couple of good nights sleeps old hotel and room showed it could do with updating And walls were very thin. I was very disappointed with the very small shower ok for petite people but well built people like me would struggle and did.Breakfast was very good could not fault it never tried the restaurant but the Bistro bars food was very good and reasonably priced. The only thing I could not get my head round was they had 3 bars and the price for the same drink was different in each one and the Aztec bar actually charged 2 different prices depending on what time you were there. Last but not least on the Saturday evening decided to go into the entertainment bar and the young lady singer was outstanding so well done the Derwent I used you 30 years ago and enjoyed the stay and yes I enjoyed my stay this time hopefully I will be back in the near future"

"Nice stay. Room was very small compared to others I have stayed at but wasn’t a problem. Car park fee was very high & drinks also."
