"Managed to book the last room available a twin with plenty of room and comfortable beds. Said own bathroom but was across the public hallway. At check in was not advised to turn power to bathroom was a switch outside in public hallway. Not great when already stripped off. Eventually worked it out. Breakfast was great with outlook over country side."

"We stayed in the 2 bedroom Mackenzie apartment and it was definitely a large and fairly luxurious room. The claw foot tub in the primary bathroom was a highlight. It's worth a visit if you're looking for something unique and quiet with great views. We had dinner in the dining room, which was quite good, with slightly above average prices. The staff were attentive and present to address any questions or concerns. The only thing I would note is we also booked a 2nd room in the family suite...

"Kings Mills is one of the finest hotels we've stayed in, in Europe and the U.S. From the beautifully manicured gardens to the lovely decorated king suite, the great bar, sitting room, and dining room, it is exquisitely maintained and managed by a superb staff. The concierge and reception staff were very helpful, and the rooms were cleaned daily. We loved the gardens and enjoyed having breakfast and tea after a long day out. We would definitely recommend it to friends and plan on coming back...

"This hotel is like a Super 8 in USA. Cheap furniture etc. Receptionist was missing when we showed up. There was a machine that claimed to check people in so we started putting in our information etc and it just won’t do anything. Finally, the receptionist showed up and claimed that machine didn’t work. He checked us in. We paid almost $350 a night for the room, and felt it was too expensive for what we got."

"We really appreciated having a mini fridge in the room. It was stocked with fresh milk a glass bottles of ice water. There was a large selection of teas and instant coffee. We had a huge room with a king bed. Our early morning tour departures prevented us from partaking of the breakfast. We enjoyed the yummy biscuits that were with the tea things. The location made it very easy to walk to restaurants and shops. There are many excellent restaurants nearby."
