I would rate our stay as excellent if not a few misunderstandings. The room that we booked via hotels.com was listed as "top-floor two-bed". It was never mentioned that the room is tatami room with two (good) mattresses on the floor. The photo was too small to realize that the room is Japanese style. ...

Very clean and convinent to food ootions within the outer airport. Staff were welcoming upon arrival amd directed you towards the kiosk. Very seamless check-in procedure. Shinagawa Prince Hotel
Eating at the hotel was surprising. The prices in Japan usually include the service charge and taxes. This hotel does not do this and you end up with a 20 % surprize charge

Shinjuku Washington Hotel Main
The room was clean and decent sized. The staff was very friendly and helpful to two non Japanese speakers. The area is quiet and more of a business district, but it’s a very short walk to Shinjuku station and the surrounding fun areas. We were very happy with our stay.
