Very cool traditional design and extremely helpful staff. Breakfast was included (also traditional) and was very enjoyable. The only downside is that the doorways and fixtures were all quite low. Watch your head if you are close to or over 6 feet tall.

Lovely old school Japanese hotel with helpful staff in a good location. Our toilet leaked but staff were able move us to another room quickly. Also appreciated them keeping our luggage safe for a few hours between check out and departure to the airport.

I stay several time in this hotel whenback to Tokyo, It's a Japanese style with a relaxing atmosphere. Many foreigner stay here and seem to enjoy Japanese room, breakfast, public bath. This place locates a little bit far from main station, but 4-5 min from nearest station, Yushima so can be reached on foot.

Great little old style Ryokan with Onsen (Sento) and men's Sauna. A bit dated, but that makes it charming. The rooms are good size compared to a typical biz hotel in the city. Nice big area for bathtub/shower in your room. The onsen are pretty basic but nice. The outdoor bath was very enjoyable for me. Unfortunately the location is not really by much local transportation (trains). A couple conbini not terribly far away. But right around the corner is a full grocery store (Summit - サミットスト). The grocery had all kind of wonderfully prepared food as well. So I could use the microwave at the hotel. I also got McDonalds delivered in like 13 minutes one night. Staff had good to great English, and we got everything figured out, even with my lack of/or lazy Japanese. Super friendly and helpful, every time. I shipped my luggage with delay to my next hotel. Coin laundry on site but I didn't use it. Outdoor patio on the 6th floor. You also get a ticket for breakfast buffet at the restaurant next door (Kosetsu - 古拙). Lots of great and fresh options. The Corn Soup was amazing! Big on the shumai as well. Tall People : Beware the low door openings. :)

部屋に入った瞬間臭くて、トイレもおしっこの匂いが強く、部屋の鍵も昔のおトイレみたいな簡単なものでした。朝食はバイキングで凄くよかったですが、水回りの汚さも気になりました。スタッフは皆親切でした。

古き良き旅館でした。サウナと大浴場があるのが良かった。部屋風呂は古いのでカビ等あって水もとまりにくい。でも日本の良さがでていて外国人には良いと思います。神経質な日本人には向いてないかも。坂がきついところにあるのでお年寄りは不便かも。久しぶりに旅館に泊まった感じでした。

館内は綺麗で、他の口コミにあった不具合は改善されているようです（エレベーターは新しく大浴場も新しく綺麗でした。）３泊しましたが、客室内は暖色系の照明で統一され、非常に居心地の良い落ち着いた空間です。清掃やアメニティも毎日取り替えられ、非常に清潔ある状態に保たれていました。室内の冷蔵庫やトイレ、内風呂はさすがに古いものでしたが、昭和懐古な建物と相まって落ち着いて寛ぐ事が出来ました。コスパも非常に良かったので、全く問題有りませんでした。 また、機会が有りましたらお世話になりたいです。ありがとうございました😊。

Perfect Japanese Ryokan Experience

I really enjoyed my stay here. The property is on the older side but that's what gives it that Japanese charm. I found the place to be very clean and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful! Would definitely stay here again, even to just sit and look at the garden in the lobby!
