"We are experienced travelers so expect certain information and common amenities at check-in or in the room. The following were NOT provided and/or were issues for us ... 1. Guest's WIFI Password was not provided at Reception or on a card in the room. 2. Two remotes were required to operate the TV with no instructions for how to use them. 3. There were no Ice Machines for Guests' use. 4. The Bathtub was quite old and slippery but no bath mat was provided. 5. The bath/shower mixing valve was very old, corroded and hard to turn ON/OFF. 6. The filter in the air conditioner was very dirty. 7. No hairdryer was provided in the room. 8. Before our arrival, the room was sprayed with a strong perfume that took the better part of a day to dissipate. 9. No telephone in the room to call the front desk or restaurant. 10. There aren't enough Chez Lounges around the pool. On the other hand, the following were plusses ... 1. The property and amenities offered are excellent. 2. The views of the Chesapeake are beautiful. 3. The grounds are well maintained with lots of varied seating options. 4. The help, wait staff and others were friendly, well-trained and helpful. 5. The food in the restaurant and drinks served from the bar were of good quality and not overpriced. I'm pleased to speak with the Manager about any of the foregoing if he/she wishes. F. J. "We had a lovely stay at Tidewater Inn centrally located in downtown Easton within walking distance of charming shops and delicious restaurants. Our room was spacious and light filled. The bathroom was small but adequate. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel (Hunters Tavern) and had a fabulous meal. Will definitely be back."

"We enjoyed our stay but found a few things that could have been better. Our host (Will) was not present the first day and most likely did not know the coffee and tea bar had sour milk and no sugar. I took it upon myself to rummage around and find these things but I would have liked it better if they were there. Also, we had a scrap of toilet paper in our room and no refills so I had to find that as well. Small things but not a good first impression. Otherwise, the room was very comfortable, the pool was great and the breakfast was delicious."

"The Oaks Waterfront was exactly the kind of getaway we were looking for. Tucked away in a quiet, secluded setting, it feels like you’re escaping from everything, yet St. Michaels is only a short ride away thanks to their beautiful shuttle. It really gives you the best of both worlds. What stood out most to us was the family-owned and operated feel. Everyone was genuinely friendly, and there was a warmth about the property that made it feel less like a hotel and more like staying with incredibly hospitable friends. It has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in. We stayed in one of the cottages, and it was beautifully appointed with comfortable bedding and thoughtful touches that made it feel luxurious without trying too hard. The entire property is impeccably maintained, and you can tell the owners take great pride in every detail. We also traveled with our two dogs, and they were just as welcome as we were. They loved the cottage, and we appreciated the dog beds, bowls, and bottled water waiting for them. Those little touches made all the difference. The food was fresh and delicious, and the complimentary breakfast each morning was another example of the attention to detail they put into the guest experience. A special thank you to Kathie, Brad, Linda, and the entire team, including housekeeping. Their kindness and genuine hospitality are what make The Oaks such a special place."
