Be aware these are very basic rooms above a busy and noisy restaurant. Check in is at the bar and not at all friendly.
We had phoned ahead and booked meals for both nights. But no booking found for either and made to feel like a nuisance rather than receiving an apology. Service on 2nd night was terrible. Told it would be a 25 min wait for our dish, but took 50 mins. Waited after finishing mains for someone to come near us to ask about coffees etc but ended up walking out after around 30 mins with no one coming near us. People beside us returned their food complaining too. Seemed to be being run completely by students with not a single 'grown-up' anywhere to be seen. Would go to the near-by Premier Inn instead next time.
The room was lovley and fresh perfect for what we needed. Staff were very friendly and tentative would definitely stay again. Breakfast downstairs was also beautiful
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Despite the grill not being open (last minute change) we had various options in the nearby town.
Room was clean and comfortable
Not our usual place of choice however booked due to other premises being booked up. Didn’t know what to expect other than images. Closest comparison would be a Travelodge style. Twin beds that were comfy if duvet not a little small however comfortable. Good tv with freeview. Nice large bathroom with one of largest shower cubicles which was very pleasing and very good pressure. Staff very friendly. Just a couple of points for improvement. Lock from the street was awkward to unlock even for the staff showing us to the room. Handle to the room was also coming away from the door and no emergency phone number left for when staff not on site.
There are no elevators and the stairs and about 2 flights and kind of steep. The hair dryer is appalling, so loud you could hear them down the hall. If you have luggage, you won’t wat to take them. The restaurant is excellent! Incredibly good food.
