This is a unique hotel located inside a 12th century castle, staff was very nice and restaurant inside the hotel was amazing, we had dinner with great views and delicious food, breakfast was complimentary and very nice, we loved the overall experience

100% worth a stay.

Hotel forms part of the castle and has the most incredible views. Lovely spa which I recommend for an hour after a busy day exploring. Great location for connections to the mountains. Lift access to the Old Town. Super friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Unique hotel that I would highly recommend.

Panoramic view was great. The female staff particularly without white coat at reception was very rude. During checkout I asked for 2 glasses of water for which she charged CHF 8 without informing. It is really surprising as there is plenty of water which was wasted by keeping tap open 24/7.

Awesome place. You're staying in a castle! Great breakfast.Be sure to use the parking garage entrance if not, you'll be hauling your luggage up seven stories of midevil staircases.

We had a wonderful staying at this hotel. The room is nice and clean and have everything we need. It is right at the castle! The only thing is the bed is too hard and the pillow is too soft and the room is too hot but still wonderful overall. The spa is a must do!

If you’re looking for a "Four Seasons" experience this is not the place. If you are looking for a unique, well run, warm and welcoming place inside a historic setting, this IS the place. Perched above the beautiful community of Thun, this boutique hotel has well appointed rooms, spa facilities and a thoughfully currated menu and wine selection at the on site restaurant. With all of that said, the staff are the biggest asset, they are gracious, polite, helpful and so welcoming. I would stay again, for sure!

Located next to Thun castle, topmost attraction in town. Still quiet and and sublime. Best sauna/spa I've ever been. Breakfast included and excellent. We also dined at the restaurant and it was our best meal in Switzerland . Commendations to service from Herbert and Patrick. Simply Superb!

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful place!

This hotel was the perfect spot to explore Thun. You’re literally at the castle, and the included breakfast in the courtyard was lovely. The staff was very friendly and attentive. There is air conditioning when it’s very hot which was nice for us because it was quite hot! Take the elevator up unless you want to arrive as haggard as we were. It’s close to the waterfront restaurants and bars, the beautiful old wooden bridge, and a nice little walk takes you over to the lake.

The hosts were great . It’s about a 10 min walk from the train station to the castle parking lot elevator. The breakfast was excellent. There is AC which is nice during the summer. It’s a great location to explore the Berner Oberland region.Buy the half fare card and the Berner Oberland pass. We bought the 8 day pass and would plan our days according to the weather. We will stay there again!

Lovely Stay

The hotel was very nice with great accommodations and staff were very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best I've had. Check in was a little confusing because there was nobody at reception when I arrived and entrance is the same as the restaurant right next to it without a clear sign, but I realized later that this was because it is a small shop and staff are taking on multiple roles throughout the day. However responses to any questions via email were answered very promptly even in the evening when I didn't expect an answer until the next day. The location is very nice with a great view but it is high up so be sure to ask the hotel for the best way to get there if coming from the train station.

Felt like the Queen of the Castle!

Had an amazing 2-night stay in a panorama view room (2.08) and loved every minute! Spacious room, comfortable bed, big shower, fridge and coffeemaker and kettle. Delicious breakfast (the smoked salmon with horseradish foam was delightful) and the private spa is not to be missed! Book it upon arrival. You'll have access for a 50 minute period and can use the sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi and shower facilities. So great after a day (or week) of hiking! Easy to access via train or bus-they provide a transfer or you can walk...take the short cut elevator in the parking garage.
