Afternoon hike in North Bend, just an hour drive from Seattle...
Photo taken at the summit of Little Si trail...great short 4.7 mile hike (1,300ft elevation gain).

On this hike to Snow Lake we took a fortuitous turn which led to three beautiful pools along a gently flowing creek. We explored for over and hour and saw no one else, in stark contrast to the multitudes we encountered along the trail up to the main lake.

(3.5 miles to the ridge, .5 miles down to the lake edge). 1300 feet of elevation gain, perfect for my seven year old. 5700 footfalls down from the top of the ridge.
